How close have you come to being caught smoking? No one I know has seen me smoking (to my knowledge), but I have had people come around unexpectedly soon after my smoking when I didn't have time to wash up properly. That makes me wonder whether or not people suspect I smoke, though no one has ever said anything to me.

lol... I've smoked in my bathroom once and I normally take a shower after doing so to cover up but my brother had to go really bad and When he went in, it smelt like smoke and my Mom and Dad came in and were like "Do you smoke, if you do ill rip your lungs out."

That's pretty gutsy to smoke in your house when no one else does. I've never done that before, and don't think that I'd have the nerve to.

Lol, my Mom smokes, my oldest brother does, and my Dad occasionally smokes.. hehe, not too gutsy =>

I've never been caught smoking, but when I first started, my mother found a pack in my bag. She asked me questions, but I told her my friend's pack... I don't know if she's put her thoughts about me smoking out of her mind.

I've lost count of how many times I've been caught. My wife has been caught more time than I, but it bothers her less. She's just not as closeted. Nothing ever happens though, than occasionally being verbally confronted with the fact you smoke. You have to cop to it. Sometimes it's like a ginormous load lifted off your chest. At others, it seems emotionally devastating, but, in the end, it never is.

this site is great - my first time on- I am a real closet smoker- off and on for about 20 years- in terms of close calls I agree if you do not have time to wash up it can be tough- I go through tons of the hand wipes- last week when I got to work someone came in and said it smells like cigarettes- I made an excuse but now feel like they know- this site will really help me to deal with being a closet smoker- Do you ever find yourself looking in the rearview mirror if you smoke and drive- keeping the car fresh is an issue too-
